Profiles

From time to time we will profile Council members on the right side of this page.  This is an impressive group so stay tuned as we provide a closer look at who these movers and shakers are around Georgia!

Congratulations!

Dr. Laurie Barron, principal of Coweta County's Smokey Road Middle School, has been named the state's Middle School Principal of the Year by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals.  We are proud and honored to have her on our Council team.  Here's the story.

Council Members Lead the Way

Council member Lourie Owens, a 4th grade teacher at Mattie Lively Elementary School in Statesboro, could easily be called the "poster child" representing Georgia's great teachers. Why? Check out this video for the answer. We solute Lourie for her commitment and dedication to her students!

Meet the 2012 Georgia Partnership Council

This distinguished group of Georgians serves as an advisory group for us across the state.  They are our eyes and ears when it comes to topical education issues in their communities.

They are nominated by either staff, Board or other Council members and are approved by a vote of the Board of Directors.  Their professional expertise and commitment to public education is a force multiplier for the Georgia Partnership.

We are honored to have them as members of our extended team.

Meet them now!
